We have moved towards intentionality in a big way. Discipleship is an on-going goal. The (Parish Catalyst) process helped us to implement positive changes in our church in a planned, systematic form. It had given us the confidence to do this as well. The four questions of what are our greatest wins, challenges, where are we stuck, what we hope to get out of sessions and the capturing of materials, has allowed us to present to those at home what we have experienced at the sessions. The planning guides have also helped us to do this. We realized that staff meetings needed to be transformed in order for a new vision to take place. After much time, we are beginning to see the fruits.

The most significant insight was a look at the brutal fact that we aren’t doing enough for intentional leadership development. This has led to developing a strategic plan beginning with a pilot program for raising up new leaders, starting with our senior staff. Also, by taking a future-oriented look at our need to hire and prioritize the correct positions, we have grown stronger internally in the past 18 months.
