City-Wide Workshops
City-Wide Workshops are a one-day intensive learning, collaboration, and strategic planning experience designed to help parish teams experience breakthrough in areas crucial to parish vitality. This is much more than a conference or a seminar. The workshop design provides interactive team times for processing ideas, exploring new possibilities, and creating action steps for the future.
The Parish Catalyst process has been proven to help parishes innovate in significant ways that lead to measurable change.
Would you like to see more parishioners growing spiritually and involved in parish life? Sometimes it feels hopeless, trying to compete for their time and attention. In this workshop we explore creative ways to better connect with and engage parishioners. You will consider new ideas, collaborate with others, and leave with a custom plan for growth.
“Where are all the good volunteers”? “Why are the same people doing most of the work?” “Why won’t more people lead?” If you share these frustrations and would like to move beyond “The Usual Suspects”, then this workshop is for you! This dynamic workshop will help you grow your volunteer numbers, improve your volunteer culture and engage new leaders.
You can have a thriving ministry to young families, and we’d like to help! Learn what parishes around the country are doing to engage families, and keep them involved between sacraments. In this workshop your team will evaluate your current strategies, explore new ideas, and create action steps to better engage young families in the future.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We recommend bringing the pastor and the three key leaders who would be most involved with parishioner engagement. Every parish is different, but some examples are: Pastoral Associate, Director of Religious Education, Director of Adult Ministry, Outreach and Alpha, RCIA, Director of Sacramental Prep, Family Faith Formation. Who helps shape and guide the vision of your parish?
There is no “homework” to prepare, but it might be helpful to review anything you learned from the synod. You could also take an informal survey of what people appreciate the most about your parish, and what they believe needs improvement. You might want to gather the team who will be participating for a time of prayer. Mostly, come with hearts and minds open to learn and grow.
